Beiing a very avid enthusiast of the Cold War and Russian Revolutions, I find the idea of this show very interesting. I like the idea of theater presenting these ideas an conflicts of the 20th century Russian history. I really feel that the purpose of theater is to teach the audience something. And I am sure the audience that witnesses this show will leave with a large amount of information they did not have when they went it. Also the ideas of open minded thinking are an isue of today.
I for one never knew about this whole embalming of Lenin thing, so that's interesting and taught me something.More importantly, I'm glad to see that the economy isn't deterring the creation of new works. I keep reading these articles that talk about theaters being conservative and picking shows with familiar names so as to draw a big crowd. This seems like a really interesting show and I hope it does well.
