Carrie Fisher says Wishful Drinking producer stiffed her

NYPOST.com: "Carrie Fisher has battled booze, pills and Darth Vader.
And now, she's at war with the producer of her hit Broadway show, 'Wishful Drinking,' The Post has learned.
The feud, which could end up in court, is over control of the rights to Fisher's autobiographical one-woman show, which recently ended a critically acclaimed run at Studio 54. Because it was a hit in New York, 'Wishful Drinking' is in demand around the world, potentially bringing in a few million dollars."

First, Carrie Fisher is hilarious. Secondly, (from this article at least) her producer seems like an idiot. I don't understand how he thinks he can hold her responsible for lost profits for holding up tour deals. If she doesn't want to tour she doesn't have to. And if no deals have been made then there has been no money lost. Just the potential for money. Also I think that she has handled this in a very classy way. The problems obviously started awhile ago but she did not stop showing up or put a hold on the show. It seems as though she completed everything her contract demanded. I also think it is reasonable for her to try and deny the producer his rights because he obviously fell back on a lot of promise as well as not completing his contract. I don't think anyone can make the argument that the show is not completely hers. Even if the producer did make the sets. There literally can't be a show without her. She is the only one in it and the only one who can be in it.
