What I want to comment on has to do with the photos focusing on Angela Lansbury. And my comment has to do with photos more than the plays. BUT, the main difference I see in these two photos is that the one on the left looks like a real action shot of a moment in the play, whereas the one on the right looks like a posed image of a moment. I personally prefer the types of photos where you feel like you are witnessing action happening in a play. Although a photo call where you go from moment to moment is very helpful for designers, I feel like some of the energy can be lost. You don't have the same energy or momentum that you have when you're working through the show. That said, I prefer to look at the photos that are taken during a run, although they may be harder to get right. Maybe I just haven't been to enough photo calls yet, but it could be interesting to see if you could do sections of the moments, where the photographer knows to get a certain moment, so that you have that true energy in the moment. Hopefully that made sense.
