ENORMOUS DOLL HEADS that you can WEAR! With fluttery eyelids!! Cool!

Craftster: "I almost forgot to explain that we made these for a hair show. The hair/wigs was done by a hairdresser. We made the heads. The wigs are AMAZING. There were 6 heads made in total, each had it's own style."

Intensely creepy in a really awesome way. It just goes to show how the scale of things can really mess with your head. These heads look eerily like the bratz dolls that have fallen into the toxic mutant turtle mix and gotten huge. Instead of fighting crime they are modeling...seems fitting for them. Some bizarre children's puppet show could be awesome with these.I feel to some extent because they are so big of something we are used to seeing cute and tiny, that they are indeed a little scary.

I love these huge, larger than life Blythe doll heads. This brand of doll is huge in the crafting community, with patterns and styling tips all over the web for dedicated owners (moms and dads, really, for all the money some people put into them), and I find it interesting that this is on our theatre page. I suppose puppetry and oversizing are sometimes hilariously creepy elements of theatre--why not do a whole show like this? Its really just another push forward to the impersonal, a little farther than greek masks.

Beyond being incredibly creepy and cool, they make people look like human versions of Bratz dolls. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I find the almost identical facial structure and eye size to head size ratio to be uncanny and a little bit disturbing. While I have no idea what exactly a hair show is, they defiantly seem like an appropriately large base to show off hair work or designs, what ever that means.

Creepy. That is all i really have to say. While the design and overall style is interesting and has a lot of theatrical applications, I feel that it is immensely creepy. Just the look and feel of the dolls head on a life size human.

This are AWESOME!

I would love to see how they are made and how they are worn. You'd expect major neck problems after having to wear one of those a few times. It's amazing that they are kept stable without resting on the shoulders. They would have to be very light weight for a person's head to support something that's encompassing it.

These doll heads look really impressive--I can't imagine the craftsmanship that goes into creating something like that. This is one of the reasons why I love our industry; almost every day you have to do something you've never done before, and the experience teaches you so much. This project seems like a good solution for a hair show; the heads are aesthetically interesting and make the hairstyles much more clear.

These doll heads are amazing. They are so big and it is different that these are worn by people and that they then walk down the runway with them. I wonder the amount of time that they spent on these doll heads. I wonder if they had ever done anything like this before and if it was experimental. It is strange that the company commissioned these was a hair company and that they did the hair on them. The eyes on the dolls were really cool the way they worked. I just find these dolls amazing and they make me wonder what techniques they used to make the heads.
