Hollywoodnews.com: "When director Habib Azar was looking for investors for his indie black comedy “Armless,” he knew it would be a tough sell convincing anyone to finance a film about a man who secretly wants to have his arms chopped off.
So, Azar turned to people he knew as his financiers: 18 former classmates at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh."

This is a huge accomplishment, and something CMU and the alumni involved should be very proud of. I love that Sundance created this new category for low and no budget films. It is still incredibly hard to get into the festival, but now some of these smaller films have a fighting chance. and i find that many of these smaller films often turn out better. i love watching indie films because they keep their message in the center of the plot- no distractions. For me, that is the art in film.
Hopefully, we can get the film to be shown at CMU in the near future!!
