Really Useful Group signs ticketing deal with Viagogo

The Stage: "Established in 2006, Viagogo already has similar arrangements with high-profile brands Madonna and Manchester United, which founder and chief executive Eric H Baker describes as “win-win” deals."

It bothers me that people don't get what's going on here. ALW and the Really Useful Group have (and now have strengthened) a monopoly on West End Theater. ALW and Cameron Mackintosh along with the Really Useful Group own about 90% of the main theaters in the west end, and now have a means of controlling ticketing for all of the events in the houses that they own and lease. Very very scary. No wonder commercialism rules on Broadway (and abroad).
