Projecting Images Support Cher's Big Show

PLSN: "Not many performers are known the world over by one single name. Fewer still get offered a three-year extension on their four-decade career with a multi-million dollar gig at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. But Cher isn’t filling the Colosseum’s maw all by herself. She’s supported by layers of artistry that include choreographed dancers and aerialists, costumes by Bob Mackie and innovative staging and lighting technology, including moving images projected by Christie projectors."

Cher is awesome. I'm not really a huge fan of her music but she has always had a tremendous aesthetic in performance. Her costumes, sets, and lighting have always been top of the line without, in my opinion, being too flashy or over the top. Cher's live performances have a great theatricality about them that is really unsurpassed by very few entertainers, especially these days. I'm not surprised to read that she uses top of the line projectors and that high quality is top priority.

i agree with this article when they state that the reason why projections are so useful is that they fill large spaces quickly and easily. also it seems that with advancing technology, projections will become more three dimensional, so they would be more than just pictures, but actual sets.
