The Mystery of Irma Vep
Pittsburgh City Paper - Pittsburgh: "This is Charles Ludlam land -- specifically The Mystery of Irma Vep, the first play of Open Stage Theatre's new season. A huge off-Broadway hit when it debuted in 1984, Vep is peppered with eight characters, male and female, sane and perhaps not, all played by a cast of two."

Any farce that sounds as ridiculous as this one has to be done well in order to get the comedy across. The fact that this one failed due to bad timing is unsurprising. Comedic timing is incredibly important in any show, but I feel that in this show especially, if the jokes are not played the right way they will be completely lost to the audience simply because of the nature of the comedy.
