Something else to check out at library: Starbucks
USATODAY.com: "A growing number of the nation's 3,700 academic libraries — eager to lure students from wired coffee shops off campus — are following bookstores and public libraries in opening their doors to Starbucks (SBUX) and other coffee shops."

Personally this really scares me. While I hate how Wal Mart and Starbucks are taking over the country I can't say I'm not guilty of going to these places. I think it's bad that they are taking over and spreading across the globe conquering more countries. When I was recently in Scotland I was shocked by the amount of America based stores that were all over Scotland. It bothers me that there is nothing we can do to really stop these countries except to go to more local businesses however I don't think that these companies will ever stop growing.
We love to complain about the evils of WalMart and Starbucks, but we all go there because they offer us the things we want, cheaper, and in more locations. When you're stuck in the library at 2 in the am, who doesn't want some caffeine, regardless of how gross it may be (cough starbucks cough). Let's be honest, people are fitting more and more things into their schedule than ever before, so who can't use a little something to keep them awake... Now that's something we can all raise our venti skim no whip extra chocolate doppia mocha to.
