Chazz Palminteri brings 'A Bronx Tale' to Broadway

Aftering seeing the film "A Bronx Tale" I feel like this would be really difficult to recreate on stage. I'm not surprised by the writer's final remarks about the show. What's interesting is that it's all done by the same actor. I wonder if using a cast of more people, but not necessarily one for every character, would be more effective. I question if this is the appropriate play for that style, and if it is in fact, why he chose to make it a one-man show.
In general it makes me sad to see a movie move to Broadway but then I have to remember that everything is an adaptation, there is nothing new under the sun.
One man shows are interesting, I think. They are so different from any other type of Broadway experience. Usually when a movie goes to the stage it gets lots of glitter and musical numbers (cough cough Legally Blond) but a one man show is just the exact opposite of that, very intimate, plus this will be a play, not a musical. I'm kind of excited, it should be interesting.
