These seam to be some of the first examples this entire entertainment strike has created. It's interesting that progress has descended when a strike hasn't even been claimed. I guess this is only a foreshadow of what ultimate catastrophes could occur from a strike this season. It's very unsettling.

It is interesting that the producers haven't been stockpiling as much as was previously assumed. It seems only logical for something like television especially that the loss of revenue that would result from not having new episodes when they are supposed to would be counteracted with an increased production schedule, possibly even to finish out the season in the event of a strike. Doing this would create a much better bargaining position for the producers should a strike and negotiations ensue.

The producers may not be fearing a strike, either because negotiations are going well, or because there is enough footage to have programs continue for a while. Most seasons of any show are filmed well before the first episode airs which gives producers an easy 2-4 months of stock footage to use while things get sorted out.
