New multi-tool sheds weight, slays He-Man
The Hardware Aisle: "Leatherman's new 5-ounce stripped-to-the-bones multi-tool is called the Skeletool, a moniker its makers claim has nothing to do with the dastardly Skeletor, evil fictional nemesis of He-Man, one of the masters of the universe."

and they still included the carabiener/bottle opener
this is an interesting concept, to have a bare-bones leatherman. while i'll be the first to admit that i dont often use every tool on my leatherman, i do remember times when i have used each of them at least once...
so if im looking for a multitool, then i'd probably still have to go with one of the bigger ones
Personally, I usually only use a few tools on my leatherman. A stripped down version really appeals to me just because I feel really guilty for not constantly using the leatherman to its full capabilities. While this one doesn't have the exact parts I want, perhaps this skeletal version will open up other simplified versions.
The overall design and features of the tool is nice, I like the integrated clip. I personally use gerber multi-tools, but this would be a good tool to have around because of its light weight and basic features.
I have definitely used all of the tools on my leatherman but not all of them constantly. I like this idea just becasue I hate how heavy the normal leatherman is. I;m sure that this would be all the tools you need most of the time and then you can have the heavier leatherman in your tool bag if the new one doesnt have the right tool. I wonder who I'll see with it first in Purnell
I just got my new letherman and the number one thing I hate about it (and all my tools) is the excessive weight. Though it has less tools it looks like it has what I would need to get the usual job done. Maybe I should have shopped around a bit more before I quickly purchased my last one on amazon.
