projection effects can definately enhance worship services. I was able to see an experimental music-based worship service that was very tech heavy. It was in a theater similar in design to radio city but larger. The rig was a huge round projection screen spanning most of the stage, two smaller screens one the sides of it, two large screens flown outside of the proscenium, and 3DL2's on each side hitting a large portion of the walls (and 70 something movers, 60 something led pars, and 300 or so conventionals). Basically, you were enveloped in video. While it was mostly canned effects, it was still pretty cool, and definately more interesting than traditional church.
