On one hand it makes sense that if you don't show up when you are supposed to (breaking contract) and then from your actions get sick or injured, that a company has no obligation to uphold their end of the bargain when you didn't uphold yours. However, a non-understanding and personable theater company is not pleasant to work for, and so it might be best to get out while you still can.
Even if she knew the music she still needed to learn her blocking. Missing 6 out of 10 rehearsals, come on. She didn't seem that upset about the firing either, then again, she should of seen it coming.
I start to wonder after reading this article, if one didn't get fired after all these stunts, will there be a possibility of missing-in-action for actual runs of the performance?
