2007 Barrymore Award Recipients Announced
Stage-directions: "The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia celebrated a year of collaboration and Philadelphia area theatre, Oct. 1, at the Gala Barrymore Award Ceremony. The recipients of the 2007 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre were announced in a ceremony and dinner hosted by local actors Chris Faith and Greg Wood, directed by Vincent Marini and written by Don Montrey. The 13th annual celebration shined the spotlight on the artistic successes of the theatre community from the 2006–2007 Season."

I'm glad to see that the Prince theatre's production of Hair was recognized somewhere in the awards. Although I did not get to see it, many of my friends last year saw the Walnut's production of "Of Mice and Men", and they all had great things to say about it, so this win doesn't surprise me at all. It's nice to just see how much varying theatre there is in the Philadelphia area, which these awards definitely show.
