This is heartening to read. It is so nice to see when someone in a power adopts someone else’s call to change. It was one thing for Frances McDormand to talk about this in her Oscar speech but it is now on another level when a whole production company adopts the practice. It is also good to see that not just singular actors are adopting the practice of having an inclusion rider but that a whole production company is. Hopefully, this sparks a huge wave of more inclusive casting and also spreads to live theatre. It was good to read in the end about companies that said they would adopt the policy but hopefully it doesn't die down with these 3 companies and two actors saying that they will add inclusion riders. I think that a lot of people including myself look at film and television as something very different (which they are) but the problems they face a lot of the time is somewhat similar. I also hope the idea of the inclusion rider and that a whole company adopted this plan moves to other industries. It is great to see the change in the entertainment industry surrounding diversity and protection of worker’s rights but I hope this sparks change and goes into all industry.

This is really great news that company’s are official putting it into writing that they will make there movies as diverse as possible. One thing that I am unsure of though is that this should be a normal thing and not something a company needs to announce. Their goal should always to make the film divers. I am glad that they are doing this in writing by having an inclusion rider as it will hold the flim companies responsible for lack of diversity. I wonder if the big movie studios will do this also like warner brothers and fox. Overall I think this is a good starting point but I hope within a few years there will no llonger the need of the inclusion rider and its just the norm to be divers. Studys show the more the divers a group of people are the better they are at achieveing there goal.
