I recreated Michael Jordan's 'last shot' in a room made of 10 million LEDs

The Verge: The NBA made some noise during its All-Star festivities this past weekend when it became the first major sport to embrace virtual reality. But across the street from the main event happening at Madison Square Garden, there was an ancillary event that offered fans a whole different type of immersion: a playable life-size half court made of LED screens created by Nike's Jordan brand for its 30th anniversary.

It was an NBA holodeck, and I had to try it.

With this kind of technology I can only imagine what this can bring to the way one can experience theatre. I am so curious about all of the ways this can be utilized. It reminds me of the thrill in Disney's Califronia adventure attraction, soarin over California. Deeply submerging the audience in a screen really has the power to place you anywhere. If you could combine these amazing screens with amazing sound and even scent, this could be a revolutionary tool unlike anything we've ever experienced before. I am truly intrigued. Can't wait to see what happens with this technology.
