Up Close With HazeBase's Award Winning Haze Generators

www.limelightwired.com: For a long time, HazeBase didn’t need to chase trends. They were the standard. The BaseHazer Pro, launched more than 30 years ago, became one of those machines you just assumed would be in the room. Touring rigs, theatres, television studios, nightclubs. It earned its reputation by being consistent, efficient, and nearly impossible to kill.

This was an incredibly interesting article for me to read. I am very familiar with the hazebase hazer as it is what is used in CMU and in all professional theatres that I have come across. What impresses me the most about this company is their ability to consistently deliver better products for the consumer and provide real world solutions and updates. I especially appreciated that they were transparent about the new haze fluid’s wear on internal parts and have provided quick and easy ways to replace key components. I think this isn’t seen with many companies, who would prefer to make the customer buy a completely new product instead for giving affordable replacement parts. This is definitely why Hazebase has solidified their hold on the entertainment industry and the special effects market. I would love to learn more about the manufacturing process that hazebase goes through to make their products and what they do to refine the designs.

This article highlighted the idea that you can still be a successful large company and allow for users to customize your product with other elements. Hazers are commonly used throughout the entire entertainment industry for multiple different reasons. Theater uses it to both create an atmosphere and to be able to define the beams of the lighting but the Film industry uses a denser, more defined fog to define environments and weather on camera. Hazbase allows you to choose to use their specialty haze fluid or any other competitor's brand. This makes their hazers incredibly cost effective for consumers and allows for constant adjustment to what each person needs the hazer for. Already being a compact hazer that is guaranteed to function for a large amount of time puts hazebase above its fellow competitors and ensures a consumer a flawless outcome. Lastly I found it interesting that they also include a vegan base option so consumers really can do it all.

To be honest, I’ve only ever used one type of haze machine before, in all productions across all companies that I’ve worked for. I should have figured that there would be different variations for different purposes. The biggest problem I’ve always had with haze is that I always want more of it, but can’t have more for fear of setting off the fire alarm. This is less of a problem at professional theatres that probably don’t have a fire alarm inside the actual theatre or right near any exit doors, but definitely poses a problem at general auditorium venues and community theatre. Obviously I don’t want so much haze that audience members farther back are unable to see, but I want to search for a solution that is not just place some fans around and only let audience members leave through the back door. The article talks about the high quality of the haze, which I’m assuming is only going to increase with all the new technology that we have. I am very excited to see how this plays out, and hope that this means more accessibility to smaller places that want to use haze.
