Synchronicity Theatre to Seek New Home

AMERICAN THEATRE: Synchronicity Theatre has announced it will transition away from its current venue at Peachtree Pointe, a mixed-use office space in Midtown Atlanta. Synchronicity’s landlord has chosen not to renew the lease, prompting the organization to embark on a search for a new permanent home that reflects its artistic vision and its deep roots in the Atlanta community.

I’d never heard of Synchronicity Theatre before this, but it seems like a decently large company in Atlanta, Georgia. They are doing “Catching the Moon,” “Frederick,” “The Rocket Men,” and a few more shows this season!
A few weeks earlier, I read about a theatre company's landlord who did not renew their lease, and the company had to pack up and move as well! I remember the owner of the theatre spent a lot of time talking about the struggles of moving, and the article commented that the owner was the main driving force behind the theatre. Unfortunately, that theatre didn’t have a large team, and had to downsize significantly. As an art form, theatre needs passionate technicians and actors and artists of all kinds to keep it running. Money is often tight, and relocating can be a tough thing to do. I’m glad that Synchronicity Theatre seems to be eager for the move, “We are excited to ground our next decade in a new home,” and hope all goes well for them.
