This festival and special appearance of the Miami-Dade County Mayor are really great efforts to see for accessibility, especially in a higher profile area like Miami. Cava seems to be very serious about this issue, which is also a breath of fresh air. The 20 year milestone for the festival is definitely special, and I hope they continue their efforts like Cava suggests. It takes constant effort and care towards others to make a strong impact, and it seems like AKI Family Arts Festival has done that for a long time. These things are often glossed over, which is clear in the article length and amount of comments, which makes dedicated leaders in this accessibility especially worthy of praise. I hope this festival and others like it keep receiving recognition, and that they become more supported in the future. They’re clearly worthy of passionate effort, and deserve more resources to keep providing valuable support.
