This sounds like such an interesting drama. Of course, the title is strange enough to draw an audience in, and the focus on a billionaire country club and its staffers is an unfamiliar dynamic for many audiences (at least me!). I loved being able to look at the costumes in the photos available on this article. I especially loved the little violet tracksuit for the dog! It was adorable, and definitely implied wealth. I think there is some correlation between one’s monetary status and the way they treat their pets. I wonder what audience this is aiming for. The way that the article constantly emphasises “Gen Z” makes me think they are looking for that generation. I honestly think it is a little weird how they are categorizing the characters by generation. I worry it is giving into stereotypes too much. I do think there is a lot of good dramaturgical work here, looking at what those of different classes wear, but I wonder why they focused so much on generations as a divider.

Beef is an awesome show. It really holds an interesting place in my heart as a show that my mom and I watched together when we were in a lot of conflict. A show like that really causes you to think about your actions and the things that you’re doing especially since everything is so dialed up to 1 million in the show. I remember noticing the costumes in the first one but not that much and it’s so interesting to see how deep the costume an intense show really were without me even physically noticing it. I love seeing people understand the difference between Gen Z and millennial fashion, because it is so different and you'd never notice it without being one of the two. I also love Oscar Isaac with my whole heart! I cannot wait to watch this, after now knowing the technical details and loving season 1.
