It has been a couple of weeks (possibly even months?) since I’ve heard anything about Tilly Norwood, so it was interesting to read this article and catch up on what Tilly Norwood has been up to recently. The biggest thing that stood out to me in this article was how obviously the concept of “oh actually, she was never meant to be in human movies, she’s exclusively for the AI movie genre” (note: the AI movie genre is really not a thing) is such textbook classic backtracking in the face of criticism and controversy. I also thought it was interesting how immediately after explaining how the AI creators say that the AI actors are only for AI movies, the article then shows an example of the AI movies the AI creators are talking about, and it is literally exactly what actual humans are worried about: background and supporting actors getting replaced with AI, while there is still a “human” in the main role.
