Having browsed the articles as they came in this semester it has been interesting to me to see how Pittsburgh reports and tracks its artists, arts programs and programming and artistic endeavors. This article was laid out differently from a lot of the other articles as it seemed to name drop a lot but didn’t give insights into Porch Light itself. It was nice to see when they introduced a new person that their name was bold to stand out in the article as after the 4th name I would have lost them in the article as I skimmed it looking for something I could grasp onto to remain interested. It provided a very brief list of two musicals but didn’t mention that their entire season is two productions. As someone who feels like she’s in a city of transplants and transient people, I’m surprised that more about the company and its fundraising efforts were not mentioned in the article. Giving people more insight into the company even if not promoting its fundraising effort would have generated more interest for me.
