Ryobi HP Brushless Oscillating Multi-Tool
Pro Tool Reviews: Ryobi’s High Performance (HP) line of 18V tools has improved performance that rides the line of high-end DIY/entry-level Pro. So far, we’ve looked at quite a few of the tools in the line and been impressed overall. With the Ryobi HP Brushless Oscillating Multi-Tool, the brand tells us to expect better performance than their previous 18V multi-tool along with a few other improvements.

Having come from a family that always had power tools, mostly in the DeWalt universe, I have always tried to stay on top of new tools coming out and try to see if there were benefits of switching brands. Ryobi has been a brand I have kept my eye on, and they have made a surprising jump in the last few years on tool quality and trying to keep up with other big brand power tools. Ryobi has made some very good tools recently, and the oscillator is one that I think draws carpenters in. There are of course other brands that make the same tool, but Ryobi offers a cheap price, and their oscillator is well-built and very easy to work with. The first oscillator I ever used was a Ryobi, and since then I have really enjoyed trying to find the reason that people would choose another brand, like Milwaukee for example, purely based on price and tool quality. While I understand it is hard to buy tools now outside of your current universe because batteries are so expensive, I think Ryobi is making a good foothold and is proving they can make good tools at a cheaper price. The oscillator is no exception, and I'm excited to see how they keep improving and pulling in more people of all skill levels.
