Proud Boys Threaten Colin Kaepernick's Miniseries Production
Consequence of Sound: The filming location for the Netflix miniseries about Colin Kaepernick is on high security alert after a reported threat from the right-wing Proud Boys organization. On Friday, as TMZ reports, the anti-Black Lives Matter group was allegedly planning to protest the production about the former NFL quarterback-turned-civil rights icon.

I can’t imagine how worrying it is to receive a threat from a terrorist organization. I say a terrorist organization because I believe the proud boys are terrorists. The proud boys have been fighting back on the Black Lives Matter organization for so long with competing protests and violence. I think it’s great that Colin Kaepernick is able to have the opportunity to share his story of facing racism throughout his life and that regardless of the threats that they’ve received, they keep going. You can tell that this story is important because the crew did not cancel the production or move their filming location. Instead, they upped security and kept doing what they were there to do. The proud boys have posed threats for many organizations, but it’s always important to continue to stand up and stick with what you believe in and what’s fair and good in the world.
