Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Paradise attended the College of William and Mary majoring in English, and says she found the theater department quite by accident.

I found this article quite inspiring. It is so interesting to me to hear how people stumble across theatre in their life. This story actually reminded me of one I was told my Costume Designer Andrea Lauer. she was some sort of bio student at the University of Texas at Austin, she was working with some sort of plastic and had found her way into the costume shop there. CMU’s own Susan Tsu was actually the professor there at the time and convinced Andrea to hell with costume and it just continued from there. I also thought her story of having to do costume fittings during pandemic timSs was intriguing. I haven’t had to do any zoom fittings (yet) but I can understand how I=hard it must be to gauge the fit without the costume actually being in the room.
