Comtra Theatre's Devilishly Charming "Sweeney Todd"

Pittsburgh in the Round: Maybe Sweeney Todd isn’t being egregiously hyperbolic when he says there is a place in the world full of shit called London. The plague looms heavy; perfidious law-makers and judges prey upon the innocent with impunity; cats are snatched up for pies; and depravity generally seems to run amok. And yet, even though the historical and cultural backdrop of London is utterly, and intentionally, dire, the murderous barber of Fleet Street is so vehemently opposed to the scourge of London for much more personal reasons.

This is an interestingly vague review. Usually there is a lot more to talk about for a production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Based off the article link and the website for Comtra Theatre, the seating chart shows that it is in the round. That to me sounds like it could make for a fascinating production of Sweeney Todd. I feel like musicals are very hard to pull off in this type of seating configuration. Where does the band or orchestra live? The pictures I have been able to find online do not really show much. I also am curious as to what the overall set looks like. I am guessing that the set is very minimal and only uses small pieces of suggestions of place. The review leaves a lot to be desired in terms of what the show actually looks like, but does tell us a bit about the overall quality of the performance, which is nice.

Romance genre is saturated. To stand out and grab eyeballs, authors need more reviews. Being a romance novelist, I am finding increasingly difficult to stand out from the crowd. I am getting a few reviews from https://usabookreviewers.com/christmas-gift and hope for better Christmas season..
