This podcast is not only a great perspective on the audio world in general and Michael's journey to where he is today, but it offers a lot of great advice for anyone pursuing a career in the live entertainment industry. For Michael, he talked a lot about his passion and making the decision to commit to doing live sound, and how once he made that decision he found that all the pieces fell into position. I always struggled going all in with theatre, and I always felt the need to keep one foot in the door as an escape path. Nevertheless, when I finally made the decision with the advice from many of my mentors, things began to become clearer and clearer. Michael also made the great point about not knowing things. He even says, "The experts are the first who will tell you they don't know", which I think is such an important thing to remind yourself of. Not knowing things isn't an issue, pretending you do is. Great podcast for anyone interested in live entertainment.
