2016 National High School Musical Theatre Awards Names Winners
Stage Directions: The 2016 Jimmy Awards took place Monday, June 27, and high school stars from across the country sang and danced their hearts out for scholarships and bragging rights. In the end Josh Strobl (representing the Jerry Herman Awards) won Best Performance by an Actor, and Amina Faye (representing The Blumey Awards) won Best Performane by an Actress. They each received a $10,000 check to further their education and will be eligible for a four-year merit and need-based scholarship to attend the New Studio on Broadway, NYU Tisch School of the Arts Department of Drama. There were more awards given out—a full list of the winners is after the jump. Congrats to all!
