As a person who has taken contemporary, ballet, and pointe classes over the course of 8 years, I see the level of accomplishment Wilde has achieved and am in awe. It is so rare that you see a person who has such presence and ability dancing and are able to lose yourself in their passion. To be honored on the same level as people like Balanchine and Stravinsky is such an incredible accomplishment. The ability that these people possess is staggering. Their dance goes beyond god given talent and rigorous training and into raw passion that is mesmerizing to watch. To see people like that become teachers and choreographers is even better because they are able to share their gift with the next generation of performers. They get to set the new standards and see them carried out in their young students. I love to hear about people who have such a passion for what they do, and I feel so inspired by their self-discipline to never give up or lose their passion no matter the trouble they face.
