Fix That Thing with Sugru
Tools In Action - Power Tools and Gear: What is Sugru? That was the question I had when I first heard the name. After doing a little research, I found out it was a pretty cool product. Sugru is a pliable putty that turns to a rubber after 24 hours. How many things have you tossed in the garbage because they were broken?

That’s it. They have finally done it. They have created the liquid duct tape. The all-purpose fixer of everything that doesn’t leave a residue or is unsightly silver. And its water proof and can hold a current? Why wasn’t this done before? Now all there needs to be is a medical version, one that is skin safe and antibacterial. It could be used as a bandage/poultice. But for now this one would be great sent to third world countries. It could patch holes in piping and water containers, frayed cables and day to day tools. Including something like this in emergency, relief and tool kits could make a big difference in the lives of all people, workers and refuges alike. I wonder what the since behind this is, is it like liquid latex only more fortified? Making state changes through drying can be difficult since the product has to be treated to stop before it gets hard and cracks. Also what is the life of it once it’s been applied to something? Its strength? This seems like it could have a lot of uses completely unrelated to its main job.
