LED Lit Ice Slides At The Harbin Ice Festival in China

Inthralld: Though it is only in town for one month, the Harbin Ice Festival is a great vacation destination for those looking to venture onto the cooler side of travel. Located in China is a castle crafted of ice with multiple slides attached, among other amazing ice sculptures.

definitly an impressive show, itd be nice to take a look at how they rigged and wired the LED's and what potential there could be if multiple sets of RGB LEDs were installed with animating the castle brick by brick

Ok, seriously, this actually exists? This looks like the most fun thing. Im from Houston, so since I moved to pittsburgh Ive had dreams about going sledding, but this just blows that out of the water. This is just such an interesting idea. It puts a whole new spin on interactive art. Im sure there were some serious man hours put into this but from the looks of it, it is worth it. I wonder if there is some place in the continental US that could sustain this type of thing in the winter. If so this would be a great project to undertake and to experience.

I've never legitimately wanted to go something as much as I want to go and see this. I agree with Sean, it would be so interesting to see how the lights are rigged, but I'd also just love to see how the different slides are built into the castle. It must take a very playful mind to design something like this and I would absolutely love to work on a project like this.
