This is a pretty interesting idea. I am curious as to what sort of crowd would use this, the main reason I would think anyone would use an autodesk product is for school or a job and if its the first one you are most likely receiving instruction on it and if its the second one you already learned it in school. But I guess it could be rather helpful if you had to do a sort of project you were less familiar with then the free classes would be nice to help you along. I am also curious to see how helpful they are in comparison to the thousands of "how to" youtube videos out there, which is where most people i know go to for help. Right now I feel pretty good about my autocad skills because I took a year of it in high school (although the transfer from PC to Mac has been interesting) but perhaps next time a need a refresher ill check out one of these classes.
This is really cool. As someone who has never had any really consistent autoCAD training, it is a valuable skill I feel that I am lacking the appropriate amount of knowledge in. Even though I am not in a department where drafting is part of the typical job description, I have often found that the use of at least basic autoCAD can be really helpful across the board. It's something you just never know when you're going to need. And the nice thing about online classes is that you can take them at your own pace. Sometimes showing up to an actual class is much harder, and I find that my mind often wanders (a personal flaw.) I would be interested to see if this sort of thing would serve me better.
