‘Matilda’ Leads 2012 Olivier Award Nominees
Backstage: The Royal Shakespeare Company’s “Matilda The Musical” leads the 2012 Olivier Award nominees, which were announced on Thursday. The musical, which is scheduled for a Broadway run in 2013, led the pack with 10 nominations. ( Auditions for the Broadway production are this Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17 at Ripley Grier Studios.) Other notable shows include Lyttelton Theatre’s “One Man, Two Guvnors” and Gielgud Theatre’s “The Ladykillers,” each with five nominations.
