Behind the Music of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure Park

Disney Parks Blog: The music you hear as you stroll around the Disneyland Resort or ride your favorite attraction is such an integral part of the Disney magic. Today we take you “behind the music” in North Hollywood with song writer and composer Bruno Coon and the band, “Billy Hill and the Hillbillies.”

This is super nerdy, but I often listen to the Disneyland Theme Park 50th Anniversary soundtrack. The music is just so cinematic that it inspires imagination! There is no way you can listen to some of those songs without wishing you were a pirate or a princess. It sounds to me like the music of Cars Land will is no exception to the Disney tradition of creating fun and fantastical atmospheric music. The song in this video clip really captures the rough and tumble, free living vibe of the Cars movies. I sometimes think that Disney can't go wrong. I will admit that they do make mistakes on occasion, and that not everything they produce is a smash hit, but they really know how to create worlds that can inspire people of all ages to loosen up and have a good time!!!

I find the way that Disney parks used music very smart and interesting. They use music to control the mood and pace of the crowd. If they want you to move quickly they play faster music and when they want you to take your time and look around they use slower music. The music in a theme park is not something that consciously think about while you are in the park but it does make a big difference on your experience. It is hard to imagine a Disney park with no music.

my family has been addicted to the disneyland parks since before i can remember. with season passes we go every chance we can afford to. The cars land attraction has been in the works for roughly a year now if i remember correctly when i first saw the fences go up. Disney never ceases to fail at inspiring and inciting emotions. especially to any who have seen their latest visual spectacular world of color. Thinking back at any point in time while walking around the parks you always know where your supposed to be thanks to the musical setting. Whether your walking through the jungle settlings of adventure land into new orleans square there is always a solid transition from one place to the next thanks to the surrounding music. California adventure is no different and it seems as though with cars land disney (hopefully) won't let anyone down.
