The Steiner Speaker Series: A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, Rob Marshall is one of the most accomplished directors of the past 20 years. His films have been honored with a total of 23 Academy Award nominations — winning nine, including Best Picture. His most recent film, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," has grossed over $1 billion at the worldwide box office — becoming the eighth-highest grossing picture in history. Among his many notable directorial efforts include the Academy Award-winning films "Chicago" and "Memoirs of a Geisha."
