Sweeney was awesome! I was glad that Joe Calarco said that it was a ghost story because that's what I thought he was getting at with the ensemble all changing to white. I guess the changes helped with showing the blood and they were appropriate attire for the mad house. In addition it was a striping of society and grandeur, and as the people from the underside of society (ie ms. lovette and sweeney) gain money and moved up in the world people who are already the up classes move down.

My one critique of the show is that I wish that the actors had had more time to rehearse in the space. The tech was phenomenal, and looked as if it had had enough time to prepare, but the acting seemed rushed and a bit confused but I think if it had been given the appropriate time it would have been a lot tighter and quicker.

Sweeny was incredible, one of my favorite productions thus far both to work with and watch. So much to be impressed by with this show, the lighting (my compliments to berger) the set which was utilized brilliantly well and to the cast and crew. A personal high point was the true carotid spray of blood under sweeney's knife.
A little critique i feel compelled to give is that the first show did seem a little bit slow to my taste but once intermission ended the second half was incredible, for the majority of the last half of the show I was on edge of my seat truly enthralled in the show.
Oh and Toby (pardon my spelling) was one of my favorites
