First Lady Michelle Obama Honors Youth in the Arts

The White House: Today, First Lady Michelle Obama honored organizations from across the country that are committed to providing enriching arts and humanities programs for young people. These organizations, recipients of the President’s Council on Arts and the Humanities Youth Award, work both in and out of schools to encourage young people to experience every facet of the arts, from dance and theater to media arts and music composition.

After always hearing another story or reading an article that involves Mrs. Obama, I am reminded that the health and arts and all around public services are being cared for in the area she is located. This article is yet another story of her ventures to appreciate and spur on creativity. I, for one, think that this is fantastic. She is a notable figure to say the absolute least. I would go so far as to say that she is the next Mrs. Kennedy. She is readily followed by the public, she is well kept and is quickly turning a fashion record. The couple themselves are so young and influential that their celebrity, at times, outweighs the presidency. It is interesting and not frequent, yet, nevertheless, right there. As long as she continues to do what she's doing, there is a chance for arts programs around the country to stay safe.
