Illyria - Director Scott Wise has pulled together the visual elements and drawn heightened, achingly stylized performances from his cast.

Pittsburgh City Paper: In a way, it's like a Magritte painting come to life.
The real "stars" of Illyria, Peter Mills' musical based on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and making its local debut with Point Park Conservatory, are Gianni Downs' set design and, especially, Michael Montgomery's costumes.

I always like to see when a company tries to do something new with Shakespeare. This review makes it sound like the show wasn't as successful as it could have been, but it looks like it was a beautiful production and showcased some enjoyable talent. Twelfth Night already has musical elements in the text, so it makes sense to flesh that out a little to present a new version of the play.

The only thing I’ve thought about saving in my future is my sanity. Because to me, the first sentence in this article basically says it all. I’m too young to think about retirement – not just because I’m in my 20’s, but because when I start thinking about retirement I get so completely overwhelmed that my brain shuts down. I’m having a hard enough time juggling all the work required of me right now – how am I supposed to even consider what my life will be like in 50plus years? It doesn’t help that I don’t have very good examples either. My grandmother is 67 and still working full time, by choice. She’s healthy, happy, enjoys her job and has a social life at work, so why stop? Maybe this ethic has been so ingrained in me that even contemplating the thought of retiring is too much for me to handle.
