Apple Hill Playhouse classic 'The Rainmaker' still has lessons to teach

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "It won't take long for audiences of 'The Rainmaker' to realize that the romantic comedy is set in another place -- and another time.
The story by Richard Nash focuses on a Western family whose father and two brothers are trying to save their daughter and sister, respectively, from the sad and lonely life of a spinster.
The funny thing about the situation is that the woman in question, Lizzy, is only 27 years old."
