'Kristina' - At Carnegie Hall, Swedes Coming to America, Grandly
NYTimes.com: "If the moribund music-theater genre facetiously nicknamed poperetta has any chance of a resurgence on Broadway, it could come somewhere down the road from an American production of the bombastic Swedish epic “Kristina.”"

"Kristina" in reading about her I became vaguely interested in the show. But what caught my attention was the fact that the article said that it was a comparison to Les Miserables, with a more substantial score. I feel that is a bold statement, and makes me more interested in the show. Especially because the music does actually seem interesting, seeing as how they describe is with its share of showstoppers. But it did make me laugh with the backhanded compliment of "audiences don’t find a lack of lyrical ingenuity or idiomatic understanding of English a problem"
