Thank you for continuing to post film crew opportunities! I feel like it's something not really explored in our curriculum; I worked on the Lionsgate film Warrior this summer and it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Although there are other colleges for film tech training, it would be wonderful if we could integrate more with the industry.
I tried to find some information about this film as it sounds relatively well-financed. There was another independent movie called "Beyond Me" filming in California, but I couldn't tell if they had anything to do with each other.
While I think that the number of craigslist film opportunities are wonderful, because it's making this kind of work available to those interested, I feel that this particular one is not a good example. The lack of professionality in the writing of the listing really makes me wonder about it. They should have included more information (such as what positions they are looking to fill), or at least used proper punctuation and capitalization.
To follow up- they sent me a script. It didn't look very interesting to me (had some questionable writing/plot development techniques). I am not going to pursue this any further, you seem right Sarah, about the professionalism. If anyone wants to see the script i have it.
