Stage Directions: "ZFX Flying Effects has formed a strategic alliance with Stage Technologies, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, to offer automated solutions for productions that require more complex flying sequences. ZFX will add award-winning products from Stage Technologies, including hoists and control systems, to its roster of complete flying services."

I really like how the collaboration between experts in the technical aspects and artistic aspects of theatre are collaborating to create the effect of flying on stage especially in really complex flying sequences to achieve something that is not only artful but precise since zfx is working towards multipoint dimensional flying and flying at higher speeds. I've heard of many productions in which people have flown on stage but I'm so curious to see how it actually happens and works out.
this is a great way to start to work companies working together to to make one better product in the end. and with some of the best companies in the bossiness working together make a great flying and automation company that is great. because then they are like a on stop shop for ever thing and that is better in the long run in two way in that first that every thing will work better tother then if you worked with two different companies. also if thing where to break or not work you go to one place instead of many different places. so i think this is a smart idea.
I am rather confused by this article. When they say automation, do they purely mean automated control? ZFX has been doing winch driven and "automated" effects for a while now as far as I'm aware -- we had an "automated" ZFX rig this summer flying a person. If what they really mean is that they will be using Stage Technologies automation control system, then great! The ZFX guys are a great group of talented technicians and designers who defiantly deserve the chance to take their company to the next level.
