The Stage: "Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Group has overhauled its website to include a new social networking section where theatre fans can have their own show-themed profile pages.
The section, called Backstage, allows users to post reviews and blogs and access audio and video content, as well as breaking news and features."

"This includes booking tickets, buying show merchandise and pre-ordering interval drinks."
Ridiculous. I really am interested to know how many people are going to use this, another service we never knew we needed. I mean really, what theater goer has ever thought "I wish I could order my drink before I get to the theater". Thank you Andrew Lloyd Weber.
I can't see this really becoming a popular service, either. If people want to discuss Phantom of the Opera, they are probably more likely to create a Facebook group in which to do this as opposed to registering with yet another website. Adding things like booking tickets won't really help when, in all likelihood, this is just a link to
Ticketmaster's website, something that can be put on any website. This all is pretty much out there already, so this new website isn't so necessary.
