'Long Story' tells story of marriage's twists and turns

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "The first principle for playwrights is write about what you know. So it's no accident that so many plays and musicals focus on the relationships between men and women."

It seems odd to me that the set would not reflect the changes in the characters as they grow and mature. even if it was subtly i think this could add a lot to the audiences interpretation of the work. i am very curious to go see "Long Story Short" as a designer to understand why the costumes and set were so static throughout the piece.

This article implies that "Long Story Short" can be seen as being very much like any other show about marriage, or it can be seen as having its own unique style. I am interested in seeing it and making my own assumptions, as there are already so many shows about marriage that this one would have to have some interesting plot moments to make it stand out.
