Inbal Pinto's journey to the center of a snowglobe.

Pittsburgh City Paper - Pittsburgh: "Imagine a snow globe where, when you shake it, not only does the fake snow spring to life, but the people and the world within do as well."

This sound really interesting. I can't help but feel bad for the people who have to clean the stage though. I also liked how they commented that the costume design was also functional in that it kept the styrofoam balls out of the actors nose and mouth. I bet this piece is really neat to see. They are going to be finding those balls in the spaces they perform for years though... kind of like the confetti from Poppea...

what i found very interesting is how the creator said he wasn't planning on doing anything and isn't planning on doing anything. i think so many times creators get bogged down in the classification and distinction of their art, but when you just create and do not think about what exactly it is you are creating, you get a much more intriguing and unique product.

if this creator had thought of this just as a dance it would be much more different.

I think this piece would be a blast to go see. The one thing that really caught me at the end of the article was the fact that the snow was made of styrofoam balls. That sounds like a sprained ankle waiting to happen. I would like to know what besides the costumes is protecting the performers.

What a unique idea! I would definitely love to see this production and see if the idea was really conveyed clearly. Sometimes a good and interesting idea isn't realized in the best way and it cheapens the experience, so hopefully they did a good job.
