I can never decide how I feel about experimental Shakespeare. While I think its important to both revisit classic texts and find ways of capturing a more broadly based audience, there has to be a really compelling reason to do, for example, hip hop Romeo and Juliet. It takes away from the text when it becomes gimmick. But I think this article demonstrates a really great way of bringing in an audience and introducing the public to theatre.
