TV Review: New spotlight on 'A Raisin in the Sun'
Post Gazette: "When Lorraine Hansberry's 'A Raisin in the Sun' first appeared on Broadway in 1959 (and I was there, a theater-addicted high school student dazzled by the bright lights), it was a revelation for its frank dramatization of racial prejudice and conflicting African American attitudes toward race, assimilation and gender roles."

If Raisin in the Sun was such a good show then why must they recreate it with of all people P Diddy. Really? Like where are all of these random actors coming from? Why can't they just air the original show and show the American public what a good play it is instead of throwing in new random people. Also I'm sure P Diddy wanted the role because of how iconic it is to black history but I really don't think he should make the selfish decision to destroy this show.
I think its kinda neat that Phylicia Rashad was in it and that she came to speak to us not that long ago. Agreeing with Bart, although I have yet to see his performance, I doubt that P Diddy was placed in the production for talent purposes. From a marketing stand point, The will certainly reach a new audience with his name attached to the show, and if more theater-goers are a result, then I guess it cant be all that bad.
