Mike Daisey's "How Theater Failed America"

Seattle Times Newspaper: "In the program notes for 'How Theater Failed America,' monologuist Mike Daisey quotes maverick journalist H.L. Mencken: 'Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.'"

It's never good when a reviewer doesn't agree with the stance your performance is taking. It's especially bad when your particular performance repetitively tries to jam sometimes-illogical ideas down your throat. That is what this review appears like to me. Take the comedian Lewis Black as a good example. He likes to get on his soap box a little, but he never makes unjustified claims and then expects you to agree with them.
