Play Celebrates Untold Stories of Black Inventors

NPR: "Museum exhibits are coming to life this month at the Smithsonian's Discovery Theater in Washington, D.C., as students receive an interactive education about African Americans who built and shaped the United States."

After sitting through dozens of Texas State History Museum videos and interactive exhibits in elementary school, I think live theatre sounds like a wonderful way of keeping this kind of history relevant and entertaining. I am glad that the article acknowledged the project as a means of story telling or delivering history rather than "a play" because making history entertaining as a narrative can be difficult when eight-year-olds are your target audience.
